*Alexis has only used her pacifier in the bed for awhile. This past week, I asked Alexis if she wanted to throw her paci in the trash. She immediately walked over and threw it away, but she always has two... then I asked her to get the other one and throw it away too. She did. When I put her in bed, she asked for her 'fafi' and I reminded her it was gone. I let her go see that it was gone... She went back to bed and slept all night. The next day, she asked for it one more time and never cried for it. So, it is day 3 and I feel good about her being paci-free from now on.
Harrison was about 18 months when he got rid of his, and it was surprisingly easier than expected too. As of now, Grayson at 12 weeks doesn't care for a paci unless he is really hungry.
*One night, Harrison and my dad were playing with his monster trucks. My dad asked Harrison why one of the trucks was different than the others. Harrison's reply was,'because God made him that way' Such a smart little guy!
*Alexis started calling Harrison, 'Bubba' when she started talking because his name is pretty hard to say for a 1 year old. It bother H that she could say a lot of things, but not his name. One night we were at a restaurant and trying to get Alexis to say his name... and she did. H was so excited that they both hugged! It was so sweet! She still calls him Bubba, but says Harrison when she wants too.
If I ever call him Bubba, he says, 'that's what Alexis calls me, not you'
